1. Before I ever learned to play guitar, I was super into football. And I was so obsessed that I got quite good at it, I ended up playing for Milton Keynes Academy but one day I just got bored, left and never played another match of football.
2. I speak 3 languages, one of which is pretty good French, enough to have a conversation with someone as long as they speak slowly. Once I have a drink or two though, I’m completely fluent (at least in my mind)
3. I have tiny ears. I mean seriously tiny, like BBC could make a documentary about my tiny ears and call it something ironic like “The Musician Who Couldn’t Hear” 9pm this Tuesday, only on BBC 2.
4. I can’t swim. And I’m not ashamed, water’s for fish.
5. I’m a huge huge comedy nerd. I pride myself on knowing comedy inside out. If I’m not listening to music, I’m listening to stand ups, or podcasts, or documentaries on great comedians. I just identify with them and with the art for some reason. I think there are a lot of parities between musicians and comedians. Outcasts living in their heads and all that.
